The State of Sexual Harassment Thoughts ...

 

So today a man 'accused' of sexual harassment merely stepped down from his job.

He didn't apologize.

He didn't admit any wrong doing on his part.

He justified his actions by saying 'in his mind' he did nothing wrong.

Do you know what I'd love to see happen ... with this and ALL cases ...

I'd love an admission of guilt. I'd love these men to take responsibility for their actions and just say, yeah, I was a jerk; I'm sorry; how can I make this up to you? 

Really, would that be so much to ask? Apparently so in this Patriarchal Society.

This is me ... still waiting for change in America on soooooooo many levels.

DISCLAIMER: While I was harassed, A LOT, in elementary school; upon growing up I was given the power to direct the behavior of those around me and I have never waivered. 

The boys & men I have grown up with; worked with; and socialized with have all been super great with behavior and boundaries. I feel badly for the girls & women who suffer the unwanted attention from boys & men who have no manners or boundaries. I feel for their stories and unresolved traumas.
