Why exactly do people have to be fired in order for Inflation to be tamed?

Random thought for today that I cannot get out of my mind.

I was thinking about the cost of getting my nails done (when I treat myself that is and willing to sit for a good deal of time doing nothing).

So not that many years ago; I would go in and spend about $35 with tip for a combo mani/pedi.

Same shop today; my bill was $60 before tip. Same mani/pedi. And I am willing to wager that the employees are still making the same wage that they were a few years ago. I mean, we have that roaring $7.25 minimum standard to work off of. But, I am easily sidetracked ...

So now enter the Inflation discussion.

We are told that to combat said Inflation, we have to lose workers. This keeps pricing low?

I think, much like the many lies our Government Overlords have fed us over the last 50+ years, that by making people jobless, this would make them not be able to contribute money to the Economy; thus burdening companies to charge more with less people to meet their overhead (be it, perhaps exorbitant salaries at the top, but what do I know?)

So I believe that The Fed is feeding us a bunch of bull just like our Congress with their "we represent YOU" line. And I also know that the younger generations are not going to roll over as easily as The Greatest Generation; The Silent Generation; The Baby Boomer Generation; Generation X and the Millennials. The day of blind acceptance I feel is coming to an end.

In the meantime, I'll sadly do my own nails, and believe that a Living Wage will come to all.
