An Update From 'The Patch' ... aka Halloween is on it's way!

 

Well jeankeepinitreal recently said on Instagram ... "It is time! The pumpkins have spoken and you can all now put out your Halloween stuff or if you're like me just dust off what's already been out all year long." So perfect, right? Well, I am in love with her quote for sure! The pumpkins have spoken and my Luna pumpkins are just producing like mad! The orange ones are coming along but they are clearly not worried about keeping up with the neighbors!

I cannot tell you what seed type these are because I just popped them into the ground on the remaining flesh left over from last year's Halloween pumpkin-fest! I do plan to visit the same pumpkin farmer this year to purchase more because, really, do you ever have enough pumpkins? Really?

That said, it's difficult this time of year not to let my thoughts be only about Halloween and all things black and orange. It just makes my heart joyous! And, if you really know me, I am easily side tracked by all things Pumpkin and Halloween.

Next year 'the patch' will be more organized. But for this year, I consider this such a win for a girl who always wanted her own patch and never had the space or the right land or the lack of wildlife that would impede my dream. This year rocks! And knowing I will be heading to SoCal to spend some of the High Holy Month of October with my Haunt BFF is just the cherry, er' Jacko' on top of it all!
